Health & Safety Disclaimer
This Health & Safety Disclaimer applies to all ski and snowboard lessons, coaching sessions, and on-snow experiences provided by our company.
1. General Guidance – Not Medical Advice
All information shared through our website, coaching sessions, or related materials is intended for general guidance and safety awareness only. It is not medical advice. Participants should consult a qualified medical professional before engaging in snow sports or physical activity, particularly in cold or high-altitude environments.
2. Personal Fitness and Health Responsibility
By booking or participating, you confirm that:
- You are medically and physically fit to engage in snow sports.
- You are not aware of any conditions that would make participation unsafe.
- You will disclose any relevant health issues, previous injuries, allergies, or medication requirements to your instructor prior to starting the session.
3. Medication, Illness, and Altitude Considerations
Participants must bring their own medications (e.g., inhalers, EpiPen) and inform the instructor of their location. Individuals should not take part if experiencing illness, fever, or conditions affected by exertion or cold. Participants should be aware of altitude-related risks such as fatigue, dehydration, or dizziness and are responsible for maintaining proper hydration and nourishment.
4. Inherent Risks of Snow Sports
Snowboarding and skiing involve inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, collisions, changing terrain, weather conditions, ice, equipment failure, and environmental hazards. Instruction aims to reduce risk but cannot eliminate it. Participants agree to follow instructions, stay within their ability level, and use appropriate protective equipment (helmets strongly recommended).
5. Stopping for Safety
Participants must immediately stop activity and inform the instructor if experiencing pain, discomfort, dizziness, breathing difficulty, numbness, or any unusual symptoms during the session.
6. Emergency Response and Medical Assistance
In the event of an injury or emergency, instructors or qualified rescue personnel may provide or arrange first aid or medical assistance. Participants accept responsibility for any associated medical or rescue costs.
7. Equipment Responsibility
Participants are responsible for ensuring their equipment (snowboard/skis, boots, bindings) is safe, properly adjusted, and appropriate for their level. Instructors may visually check equipment but are not liable for its safety, functionality, or performance.
8. Insurance Requirement
Participants are strongly advised to have personal insurance that covers snow sports, mountain rescue, medical care, and related emergency services.
9. Participation of Minors
For participants under 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent, ensure the child is fit for participation, properly equipped, and that all medical information has been disclosed in advance.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in activities, except in cases of proven gross negligence or intentional wrongdoing. Nothing in this disclaimer affects statutory rights that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Privacy and Health Information
Any health-related information voluntarily disclosed by participants is used solely for safety purposes and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Sensitive data is not stored longer than necessary.
12. Participant Acknowledgment
By participating, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Health & Safety Disclaimer and accept the inherent risks associated with snow sports.
