Which area in Davos-Klosters is the best for my snowboard lesson?
Beginner
Beginner Snowboard Lessons
If it’s your first time snowboarding or you’re still figuring out how to stay balanced and link turns, beginner lessons are about building strong foundations without stress or frustration. We work step-by-step on balance, edge control, stopping safely and making your first real turns feel comfortable and controlled. Expect patient coaching, gentle terrain and clear progress you can immediately feel.
- Best for: first-timers, early learners, kids and adults who want a positive, confidence-building start
- Great places to learn:Jakobshorn, Rinerhorn and Madrisa with their wide, forgiving beginner terrain
- You’ll leave with: real control, growing confidence and that feeling of “yes I can actually snowboard!”
Intermediate Snowboard Lessons
Once you can ride but want to feel smoother, safer and more consistent, intermediate coaching is where your snowboarding really starts to open up. We help you refine turn shape, manage speed with ease, ride comfortably on steeper slopes and begin feeling confident in more varied terrain. The goal is to ride with flow rather than tension and enjoy far more of the mountain.
- Best for: riders who can turn but feel limited, tense or unsure on certain slopes
- Best terrain:Parsenn and Jakobshorn, where varied runs help you naturally build skill and confidence
- You’ll leave with: smoother riding, better control and a noticeable boost in confidence
Intermediate
Advanced
Advanced Snowboard Lessons
Advanced lessons are for riders who already feel capable everywhere and now want precision, power and refinement. We look at carving performance, edge pressure, efficiency of movement, riding steeper terrain with fluid calmness and developing a strong, confident style. It’s about making every run feel intentional, controlled and incredibly satisfying.
- Best for: confident all-mountain riders who want to sharpen technique and ride at a higher level
- Best terrain: Parsenn, Jakobshorn and—when conditions allow—selected freeride areas
- You’ll leave with: cleaner technique, more power and complete mountain confidence
Freestyle Snowboard Lessons
If you’ve always wanted to try the park or you already love freestyle and want structured progression, freestyle lessons give you the skills, safety knowledge and confidence to enjoy it properly. We work on buttering and ground tricks, safe jumping technique, grabs, boxes, rails and park awareness, always step-by-step and always in a controlled, supportive way.
- Best for: curious first-time park riders, freestyle beginners and committed freestyle riders
- Best terrain: Jakobshorn Snowpark - the freestyle heart of Davos
- You’ll leave with: new tricks, more confidence and a tone of fun

FAQ
Who can join private lessons?
Private lessons are open to all levels and ages — from complete beginners to advanced skiers and snowboarders. Families, children, adults, and groups of friends are all welcome. Lessons are tailored to your individual goals.
Do I need a ski pass if I am a complete beginner?
Not always. If it’s your very first time on skis or a snowboard, the lesson may start on the beginner area where a ski pass is not required. Once you are ready to use the lifts and progress to the main slopes, you will need a valid ski pass. Your instructor will let you know exactly when it’s necessary to purchase one, so you only buy it when you need it.
Where can I rent ski or snowboard equipment, and do I get a discount?
We work closely with selected rental shops across the Davos-Klosters ski areas, making it easy to pick up everything you need near your accommodation or the slopes. By booking a private lesson with us, you also receive a 10% discount on all rental gear. Your instructor can recommend the most convenient shop and help ensure you’re properly equipped for your lesson.
What is not included in the lessons?
The lesson price covers professional instruction. It does not include ski passes, rental equipment, food, or drinks. Your instructor will be happy to guide you on arranging these before your lesson.
Where do lessons take place?
Lessons are available across the Davos-Klosters ski areas. The exact location will depend on your level, the conditions, and your goals for the day. Your instructor will reach out to you to suggest the best meeting point.
How many people can join one private lesson?
Up to six people can join a private lesson. This makes it a flexible option for families or small groups who wish to learn together.
What should I bring to my lesson?
You should come with appropriate ski or snowboard equipment, warm clothing, gloves, goggles, and a valid ski pass. Helmets are strongly recommended. If needed, we can suggest rental shops in Davos.
Can lessons be adapted to different levels within one group?
Yes, instructors are experienced in adapting lessons to mixed abilities. However, for the best learning experience, it helps if participants have similar skill levels.
